
In case you haven't heard of us, we are Boomerang
and we're working on helping companies change the way they
communicate with their customers, workforce, suppliers and
partners. We're also working to help local and central government
communicate with citizens more effectively and efficiently. We're
doing this by leading the way in the development of simple to use
intelligent SMS technology and solutions.
SMS has come a very long way since
it's inception during the 1980s and Boomerang is
committed to being at the very forefront of the development of SMS
into a highly cost effective intelligent two-way communication
channel between any mobile device and an organisations CRM or
workforce management system. Or, in tech speak,
Application-to-Person, A2P, SMS communication.
So, why are we so passionate about intelligent, or multi-threaded, SMS?
Well, the interesting thing is that Juniper Research estimate that by 2016 mobile operators will generate more revenue from SMS messages sent to or from an application, like CRM for example, than from those sent between people! A very significant point in the evolution of SMS communication where automated intelligent communication is key.
This represents an incredibly exciting shift in the way that SMS is being used and opens up a kaleidoscope of possibilities to interact with customers, citizens, employees, partners or suppliers.
It means that new, more intelligent SMS solutions need to be put in place to add the intelligence required to ensure that useful, meaningful interactions can be performed between person and application.
This is where we at Boomerang come in.
